Rakon ISO/TS 16949 accreditation

Rakon has announced that DNV has awarded its New Zealand facility with accreditation to the stringent automotive quality standard ISO/TS 16949.

A leading supplier to the automotive GPS market for over ten years, Rakon expects continued growth in this sector. This combined with an increasing customer requirement for accreditation, led Rakon to gain the standard.

Rakon expands in China

Rakon has announced it will begin the construction of a new Chinese manufacturing facility in conjunction with its existing Chinese joint venture partner.

This new facility will build upon the existing Chinese joint venture operations and enhance the capability of the New Zealand manufacturing facility.

Rakon Introduces 2016 High Performance GPS TCXOs

Rakon, pioneer of the world’s first 0.5ppm TCXO for GPS applications, continues to develop its line of high stability products that enable maximum GPS performance in weak signal and dynamic environments. Rakon’s IT2100 products are designed for performance critical, high volume GPS applications offering the ‘Rakon level’ of performance.

The GPS range of oscillators are available in a wide range of customizable specifications for a variety of applications including weak signal and precision GPS. The IT2100 operates off of a 1.8V regulated supply and outputs a clipped sine wave reference signal in the range of 13.0MHz – 40.0MHz. More >>
