New Zealand Prime Minister visits Rakon
5 November 2010: Prime Minister, Mr John Key visited Rakon's Auckland factory on Friday afternoon. The PM met with Rakon's CEO Brent Robinson and was shown through Rakon's headquarters including its Class 1000 clean room. "We were delighted that Mr Key took up our invitation to visit Rakon and experience a world class operating environment like no other found in New Zealand" said Brent Robinson.
Record sales for Rakon
October 2010: Rakon’s European operations are reporting a record sales quarter to end of September, with the highest volume of shipments recorded in Rakon UK’s history.
Rakon purchased the Frequency Control Products division of CMAC in March 2007 for NZ$58 million. Philip Davies, Business Unit Manager Rakon UK, said the record quarter marked the highest quantity shipped since that company’s formation in 1937 and represents an increase of 300% compared with volume shipped in the quarter immediately following Rakon’s acquisition in 2007.
Indian government awards Centum Rakon
29 October 2010: Centum Rakon was presented with the ‘High Growth Electronic Hardware Company Award’ at Bangalore IT.Biz 2010. Centum Rakon’s General Manager, Mr Unnikrishnan P.M said it was a privilege to receive the award.
“Centum Rakon has achieved tremendous growth in the past year and we are very pleased for this to be recognised by the government”, said Mr Unnikrishnan.
Record volumes for Rakon
23 July 2010, Auckland: Rakon (NZX: RAK) has announced that it expects to ship a record volume of over 6.5 million units from its Auckland factory this month, with potential to increase that by 20% by October.
