New Zealand Graduates & Students
Each year, Rakon takes on a number of engineering graduates to join its Graduate Engineering Programme and over a three year period supports, develops and mentors young engineers to reach their engineering potential.
Rakon is committed to developing young talent and provides a practical working environment where our graduates get involved with engineering projects almost immediately, adding resource and value to the business whilst developing their professional skills. We look for post graduate students who can communicate clearly, are technically astute, have a hands-on approach and show a real desire to be the best within their chosen engineering discipline. At Rakon we hire graduates from the following disciplines.
Joining Rakon as a Graduate Engineer will offer you the opportunity for you to develop your career within a global engineering organisation whose focus on innovation and quality is mixed with a down to Earth and friendly culture, where staff are encouraged to develop and demonstrate their value.
The Graduate recruitment process normal takes place in August/September of each year. Updated on our Twitter page.

Rakon is proud to support local students develop their education in the field of engineering. As part of this support Rakon has created the Rakon Engineering Scholarship in partnership with The University of Auckland. The scholarship, aimed at 3rd year and 4th year engineering students, offers not only a financial award but also an opportunity for summer/vacation work, the possibility of assistance with a final year project and the opportunity to be considered for a Graduate position.
Rakon often employs young students for summer work opportunities which may include production based or entry level engineering/technician type work. The number of students that Rakon employs during the summer break varies from year to year and announcements about summer requirements are posted on this site and Twitter in October/November.
