Master Reference Oscillators (MRO)

The Master Reference Oscillator (MRO) is a piece of equipment that provides a highly reliable and stable signal to the satellite bus and payload.

The NewSpace MRO is engineered specifically for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) telecommunications, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and Earth observation applications. It is well-suited for missions lasting up to 12 years.

The Traditional Space MRO is tailored for Geostationary Orbit (GEO) missions, offering a lifetime of up to 20 years. It is the optimal choice for telecommunication, navigation, and Earth observation satellites where frequency stability and ultra-low phase noise play a crucial role.

Our NewSpace Master Local Oscillators (MLO) are developed for telecommunications payloads that require a high, reliable and low-noise frequency signal. This equipment is suitable for mega-constellations or small GEO telecom satellites. Our MLO can be phase-locked to a master reference oscillator to form a Frequency Generation Unit (FGU).

Applications: GEO missions, LEO broadband, GNSS, telecommunication, navigation, and Earth observation satellites and applications where precision frequency stability, ultra-low phase noise and low power consumption are crucial.
