Access Networks
Access networks connect the end-user equipment into the network, covering last-mile connectivity.
The most common access methods currently are copper, cable, and fibre networks, but with the deployment of 5G networks, fixed wireless broadband is seen as the future of access networks. All of these technologies have in-built synchronisation transfer mechanisms. When combined with network synchronisation methods, they can also carry IEEE1588-based synchronisation in-band.
To support accurate access network synchronisation, Rakon provides high stability low jitter devices that are standards-compliant.
